AFTER A POOR START WITH PRE MATCH FRIENDLIES THE TEAM HAVE MADE A POSITIVE START TO THE NEW SEASON. OUR FIRST GAME AWAY STARTED BY THE
BOYS GOING 1-0 UP AT HALF TIME THROUGH A GOAL BY NEW SIGNING TOMMY BARRETT WITH A STRONG WIND BEHIND.
IN THE SECOND HALF WITH THE WIND BEHIND THEM PREDATORS CAME RIGHT BACK INTO IT GETTING LEVEL AFTER 15 MINS. THEY THEN WENT 2-1 UP AFTER 50 MINS
AND ADDED A THIRD WITH 10 MINS LEFT. I MADE A CHANGE IN DEFENCE AS JACK LAKE HAD GIVEN EVERYTHING AND HAD NOTHING LEFT IN THE TANK AND MOVED
JAMES TURNER TO RIGHT BACK FROM MIDFIELD.ADAM CLIFFORD CAME ON IN MIDFIELD FOR ME AND POACHED A GOAL WITH 5 MINS REMAINING AND WE KEPT PUSHING FORWARD.
IN THE DYING SECONDS WE SWUNG A BALL IN THEIR BOX AND THE NEW SKIPPER SLOTTED HOME THE BALL TO GIVE SAINTS A GREAT DRAW 3-3

SORRY TO SAY THE BOYS WERE A BIT OUT CLASSED BY WICK TODAY, BUT HAVING SAID THAT WICK ARE A DIVISION HIGHER AND I AM AFRAID IT SHOWED.
I FEEL OUR BOYS COULD HAVE PLAYED BETTER THAN WE DID TODAY BUT CREDIT TO WICK THEY DESERVED THEIR WIN AND THE SCORE DIDN'T FLATTER THEM.
FOUR GOALS IN THE FIRST HALF AND ANOTHER FIVE IN THE SECOND HALF SAYS IT ALL.

This was an even game upto half time with the boys going 1-0 down. The second goal was always going to be a big factor and Barnham
got it early in the second half. The boys conceeded another two goals but there was good perfomances from Hayden Gullis, Mark Tomlin, Dan Larkham,
and stand in keeper Jack Lake. We move forward next week against Felpham.

Not much to say about this performance, we were poor most of the game. the lads kept on going through out and captain Hayden Gullis pulled a couple back
for saints. we move forward next week.

This was a great performance by the boys today, we played our best game so far this season.
With a strong wind against us we had a chance with Connor Curry hitting the cross bar, we were 0-0 at half time. With the wind behind us in the second half
we kept pushing forward and our reward came with good team work on the left when Connor Curry and Brandon Jackson created the chance for Tom Rixon to
slot one home. We kept pressing forward and Brandon Jackson came close to scoring on two occaisons, one hitting the crossbar.
All the boys played well today but a special mention to Dan Larkham who playing in the middle at the back was fantastic for Saints.
Man of the match Brandon Jackson who had a great game in midfield.

This was a game that flattered Whyke by a long shot. The reason why Mangers get so disillusioned with the game of football.
The boys went in at half time 2-nil down, Whyke scored 12 mins into the second half to make 3-nil.
What really upset me is that the boys fought back to make it 3-1 and was still pushing forward for another when Tommy Barratt our striker was put clean
through with only the keeper to beat when a Whyke defender brings him down with a nasty tackle taking the lad out of the rest of the game.
Surely the defender should of been sent off or at least booked? Whyke's linesman stuck his flag up but the Ref ignored it.
I did ask the Ref about the incident after the game but he said he was unsighted at the time. I felt that if Tommy had scored then the game could have been
different, now we will never know. Well done to all my players for not reacting after this happened. I don't know if the Ref was affiliated but its things like this
that make the game hard to understand sometimes. We move on next week.

THE LADS SHOULD BE PROUD OF THEMSELVES TODAY, PLAYING IN NOT GREAT CONDITIONS THEY WENT 2 NIL UP AT HALF TIME WITH THE WIND BEHIND.
I KNEW IT WOULD BE HARD IN THE 2ND HALF WITH THE WIND AGAINST SO IT WAS IMPORTANT TO GET A 3RD GOAL. WE HAD OUR CHANCES BUT COULDN'T CONVERT ANY OF THEM.
WORTHING GOT A GOAL BACK THROUGH OUR SLOPPYNESS BUT I THOUGHT WE COULD HOLD ON. THERE SEEMED LOTS OF EXTRA TIME ADDED ON AT THE END WHITCH I TACKLED
THE REF ABOUT BUT THATS THE WAY IT GOES SOMETIMES. WORTHING WERE AWARDED A PENALTY IN TIME ADDED ON FOR A HAND BALL THAT I THOUGHT WAS A BIT HARSH ON
THE TEAM BUT NEVER MIND, A GREAT PERFORMANCE BY THE WHOLE TEAM. GOALS FROM CONNOR CURRY AND MARK TOMLIN IN THE FIRST HALF AND DAN LARKHAM GOT
MAN OF THE MATCH. ALSO A GREAT DEBUT FROM YOUNG CALLUM SALES.
