Code of Conduct
The league has requested that we bring to the attention of all parents a Code of Conduct.  It has been reproduced here.  Please take time to read it and ensure you strive to comply with it for the benefit of both players and the club.

Membership Fees and Subscriptions
In order for your child to play in the League and to be covered by insurance, it is necessary to be a Member of the Club.  To do this, we need to have received your completed Application for Membership and your annual fee.  No form and fee - no play.
Please ensure that your training subs are paid weekly as it detracts from training if the manager has to chase up outstanding subs.

Chairperson's Message - Aug 06

Dear All,

As a result of the AGM on 11th August 2006, I would like to say that I am very happy to have been voted back in as Chairperson for the football club. I look forward once again to serving the club and hope that we have a very successful year.

Although a small turn out at the AGM, we were successful in voting in the committee and I would like to thank those who attended.

It was extremely remiss of me not to thank those who were in outgoing postitions.

So I would like to now say a huge thank you on behalf of us all to Adrian Potts and Peter Lake for their committment and tireless efforts that have helped run the club in what has been an extremely busy year. Both are now concentrating on managing their teams, with the addition that Adrian will be working to progress our futrure additional grounds for the older teams.

I would like to welcome all those in the committee positions for the forthcoming year as follows:

Vice Chairman - Mark Spence (who has changed roles from PR officer)

Treasurer - Tony Ashcroft

General Secretary - Ali Lewis

Registration Secretary - Becquie Rudman

Fixtures Secretary - Jerry Harvey

Social Secretaries - Tina Lake & Paula Black

PR Officer - Paul Hankinson

Once again thanks to all and I look forward to a successful season

Any poblems or questions please feel free to contact me either via this website or on tel: 07768 421272.

Regards

Helene Ashcroft (Chairperson)

The Highdown Saints Gold Bond Lottery

We have launched this to help assure the continued development and security of our Club with River Field.  Instead of asking you for money and just saying thanks we hope this will be a bit more fun.  You will be entered into a weekly draw where you can win up to £10,000. All for the princely sum of only £1 per week.  This lottery is open to anyone over 18 so friends, family & work colleagues are more than welcome to enter.  The Club receives a percentage of the stake money and a bonus if one of our members win. Please  ask your team manager if you need any more information.

TIME KEEPING

Can you please try and get your children to training in good time.  Too many players are arriving during or after the warm ups.  These exercises are very important to reduce the occurances of injury during training especially as few children are doing any strenuous exercise during the week.  Coaches should lead by example and always be there in good time to prepare any equipment needed and to be able to start on time.

Footwear, Shin Pads & Jewellery.

Some children are turning up with incorrect footwear, poorly fitting shin pads or even no shin pads at all.  Your child is at serious risk of injury unless they are properly turned out and the coaches will have to prevent them from training.  Football boots are essential when the pitches are wet and astro turf trainers (dimpled gripped soles) are needed when the ground is dry & hard.  Running shoes, velcro fastened trainers and plimsoles are not acceptable.  Shin pads must be junior size and fit properly.  They should be held in place with football socks & not ankle socks.  Jewellery must not be worn during training or matches.

VOLUNTEERS PLEASE

Firstly as some may have noticed the under 7`s and under 6`s are growing in number every week. Although this is fantastic for the club the poor old coaches do have a look of panic on their faces as more and more players turn up weekly. So here’s your chance to help out (and realise just how unfit you are) as we would like more people helping out, mainly on Saturdays with the training. For more information about what’s involved have a chat with any of the team managers or our very approachable Adrian Potts.  Nearly all our coaches are FA qualified and we offer this to any new coaches.  We would also greatly appreciate any help after the matches taking down the goals or clearing up the school.  We must look after the school and remove all signs of the weekend football, ie mud, crisp packets and worse still… ciggy butts.

PARKING

Please can we all show some extra consideration when parking around the school either on training or match days as we have received a few complaints from the local residents. The fact of the matter is if they were to complain to the school, council or the police any of them could stop us using the pitches and that could mean no ground, no football and no club. So please remember not to obstruct any driveways and please don’t park on any grass verges.

PARENTS REPS

Every team should have a parent rep.  The reps can talk to the coaches on behalf of the parents and can attend committee meetings.  It kind of defeats the purpose if the coaches have to ask a parent to be the rep.  Could all the parents please arrange between yourselves so there is a rep for each team.
