Premiership 'Race' Night (November 24, 2006) We are holding a Premiership 'Race' Night on Friday November 24th at 7pm in St. Catherine's School hall. This is a 'Night at the Races' with a twist. The twist is that we have no horses.... footballers instead. A chance for you to support your favourite teams, have a pint and more importantly... a flutter!!
So how does it work? We will have 6 Championships to play out. A roll of a dice will decide the results and who wins the championship. You bet on your team, bets start at 20p. The odds are set after the bets are made. If your team is Manchester United and they are 6/1 and they win, you get £1.20 back for every 20p ticket you purchased. Each team will also be sold for a maximum of £5. Owners of each winning team pocket a healthy profit plus a prize from the Championship's sponsor.
It should all be over by 10pm... bar closes at 11.
