Saints in the Final!!! (March 19, 2006)
The Under 9A's are the first Highdown Saints team to make a cup final.  They overcame the strength of the A league leaders, Worthing United A, 1 Nil.  It was a tough match and Worthing were unlucky not to take the lead in the first half but our goalkeeper, Harry Horton Wall, and the defensive partnership of Harry Potts & Michael Roberts held firm.  In the second half our mid-field started to gain the upper hand and the breakthrough came when Shane Spence's shot came off the cross bar and was bundeled in by Paddy Chapman.  From then on it was all Highdown. Braden Kenny was supplying cross after cross for our team top scorer, Will Stone, but today, Will wasn't able to add to his Golden Boot lead due to Worthings excellent defence.  Nearly 5 minutes of injury time made for a nail-bitting finsh but the Saints held on for a well deserved victory and have earned their place in the Challenge Cup Final on the 19th of March at Bognor Regis Town Football Club.
